That is one of the post that I was talking about. I looked into Bethke and really like him. The resources that you provided with the follow up email was really good and very encouraging. Again, I had my own convictions about what I was doing thinking that it was leading down the same cloudy path. I really appreciate Bethke and Deyoung not only for their exchange but the willingness of Bethke to be corrected in a loving way. Thanks so much for sharing that!

There were some other videos/posts that blasted Bethke but I didn't share them nor am I going to... I find them fairly ignorant.

Dunno if this (http://thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/kevindeyoung/2012/01/13/does-jesus-hate-religion-kinda-sorta-not-really/) is one of the blog posts you were talking about it, but I think it was the most fair, and DeYoung (writer of said post) ending up exchanging e-mails with Bethke afterwards and posted some of that exchange here (http://thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/kevindeyoung/2012/01/14/following-up-on-the-jesusreligion-video/)

I think it's encouraging.

Agreed! I love what Tebow is more off the field because of his example instead of on the field.

Thank you so much for your feedback Patti! I think that our religious traditions get in the way too often but I wanted to offer an different side of using Santa to point towards Christ. I am glad it made sense for you. Feel free to share it!

This is a wonderful way of looking at this. I see some Christians who do exactly like you're describing with the "it's ok for Mickey and Elmo, but not Santa." I love your approach and hope to share it with them. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
