About Me

I am the husband of the girl that shot me down in high school. I am a father to the miracle that we prayed about for over a year and currently expecting another. I am very blessed and have learned many valuable lessons in my short life. The most valuable is to be real, be transparent. I have learned that my mess is more than just that. It is my message.

For many years, I had blamed God and held a lot of anger to people that were very close to me, only to find out that it wasn’t the correct way to handle it. One morning, I was watching a morning television show and running late for work when Robin Roberts talked about her battle with cancer. I never knew she had cancer. In fact, I didn’t know much about her at all after she left the world of Sportscenter to become an anchor on this show. But I did know her from ESPN, so I continued to listen. She had wrote a book recently (to that particular episode), only to have to stop publication on it to add an additional chapter. The last chapter of her book she stated, “Make your mess, your message!” This thought has sat with me since. Throughout most of my life, I have seen myself as a victim, someone without much worth, but for some reason on this day, this statement would alter my mindset about many things that had happened and were happening in my life. I hope that you enjoy reading my blog. My hope is to share my mess as well as my message. My prayer for you is that something that I may ramble on about may encourage you to take the focus off your problems and focus on your relationship with Jesus.

If you take anything away from reading my blog as I share my life & my daily walk with Christ, take these:

  • Put your complete faith in Him through all things.
  • He promises to never forsake us.

2Count it all joy when you encounter various trials 3knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance 4& let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. | James 1:2-4
